This Privacy Policy explains how My Mark: Journal & AI Diary (“My Mark”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use our mobile application and related services (the “Service”).
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1) What information we collect
A. Information you provide
- Account information (Google Sign-In)
- Your Google account identifier (e.g., email address), display name, and profile picture (if available).
- Journal content
- Text you write in entries, titles, tags/metadata you create.
- Photos you attach
- Images you select to attach to entries.
- Voice notes
- Audio recordings you create and attach.
- PDF exports
- Content you choose to export (text and optionally images).
- Settings and preferences
- Theme/accent color choices, app lock preference, and sync preferences.
B. Information processed when you use AI features
When you use Ask Your Journal (AI Chat), we may process:
- Your question/prompt
- Relevant excerpts of your journal entries (for example, up to the last 365 days as needed for context)
- AI responses generated for you
Note: The app is designed to send only what is necessary for your AI request.
C. Purchase and subscription information (RevenueCat + App Stores)
If you purchase Premium (one-time/lifetime access), we receive and process:
- Purchase status (active/expired), product identifier, transaction timestamps
- Region/currency may be inferred by the app store
We do not receive your full payment card details. Payments are handled by Apple/Google and their payment processors.
D. Automatically collected information (limited)
Depending on your device and platform, we may receive basic technical data needed to operate the app, such as:
- Device type, OS version, app version, language/region settings
(We aim to keep this minimal and only what’s required for functionality, sync, and purchase validation.)
2) How we use your information
We use information to:
- Provide core journaling features (create, edit, display entries; show calendar and recent items).
- Enable media features (store and display photos/voice notes attached to entries).
- Enable sync and backup
- Sign you in with Google
- Sync/backup your content to your Google Drive (as configured in the app)
- Provide AI features
- Generate responses to your “Ask Your Journal” requests using your prompt and relevant journal context
- Enable Premium features
- Validate purchases and unlock features (themes, app lock, PDF export, unlimited photos, AI limits, etc.)
- Maintain security and prevent abuse
- Protect the Service, enforce limits (e.g., daily AI queries), and prevent fraud
3) Where your data is stored
A. On your device
Your journal entries and attachments may be stored locally on your device for fast access.
B. Google Drive (your account)
If you enable Google Drive sync, your journal data may be backed up and synced to your Google Drive under your Google account. Access to Google Drive is used only for the purposes you enable in the app.
C. AI processing
When you use AI chat, the content needed to answer your request may be transmitted to an AI service provider for processing. We do not control how third-party AI providers handle data beyond the options they offer and the agreements/policies they publish.
4) Sharing and third-party services
We do not sell your personal information.
We share limited information only with service providers needed to operate the app:
- Google (Google Sign-In, Google Drive) - Used for authentication and optional cloud sync/backup.
- RevenueCat - Used to manage and validate in-app purchases and entitlement status.
- Apple / Google (App Stores) - Used to process payments and provide purchase receipts/verification.
- AI providers - Used only when you trigger AI features (Ask Your Journal).
We may also share information if required to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights, safety, and security.
5) Google API limited use disclosure
If you connect Google Drive, My Mark’s use of information received from Google APIs will comply with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We access and use Google Drive data only to provide the sync/backup features you enable.
6) Your choices and controls
A. App Lock (device-level)
If you enable App Lock, access to the app can be protected by Face ID/Touch ID/PIN (depending on device
support).
Important: App Lock does not encrypt your data everywhere by itself; it restricts app
access on-device.
B. Sync controls
You can enable/disable sync, and use manual sync controls (upload/download) as provided in settings.
C. AI usage controls
You can choose whether to use AI chat. If you don’t use it, your journal content won’t be sent for AI processing.
D. Export controls
You control what you export to PDF and whether images are included.
E. Account controls
You can sign out from within the app.
7) Data retention
- Local data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- Google Drive backups remain in your Google Drive until you delete them (or disable sync and remove backups).
- AI prompts/responses: We aim to keep AI processing transient where possible, but some providers may log requests for security/quality as described in their policies. You should review the AI provider’s privacy terms for specifics.
8) Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including secure connections where applicable. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and controlling access to your Google account.
9) International users and cross-border transfers
My Mark is available globally. Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live (for example, where service providers operate). We take steps designed to ensure appropriate protections consistent with applicable laws.
10) Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
If you are in the EEA/UK, we process personal data under these bases:
- Contract: to provide the Service (journaling, sync, premium, exports)
- Consent: where you choose features like AI processing or Google Drive sync
- Legitimate interests: to maintain security, prevent fraud, and improve reliability
- Legal obligation: where required by law
You may withdraw consent at any time by disabling the related feature (e.g., AI chat or Drive sync), without affecting processing already performed.
11) Your privacy rights
A. EEA/UK
You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, or port your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
B. California (CCPA/CPRA)
You may have rights to know what personal information we collect/use/share, to request deletion, and to opt out of “sale” (we do not sell personal information).

Note: Because journal content may be stored locally and/or in your Google Drive, deletion requests may require you to delete local data in-app and/or remove Drive backups.
12) Children’s privacy
My Mark is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us at support@moneybond.app.
13) Third-party links and services
The Service may rely on third-party services (Google, RevenueCat, AI providers). Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing them.
14) Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Effective Date” and, where required, provide additional notice in-app or via the app store listing.
